Kathy Hall has been assessing commodity markets for more than 25 years. She is the founder of PetroChem Wire, a daily news and pricing service that is now a part of OPIS by Dow Jones. OPIS PCW’s ethylene and propylene assessments serve as benchmarks for futures contracts and are widely used in supply contracts and spot market transactions. OPIS PCW has been assessing recycled plastics markets since 2010 with the launch of its Recycled Plastics Weekly report.

Emily Friedman, U.S. Recycled Plastics Senior Editor, ICIS

Emily Friedman is an experienced sustainability leader and senior editor, driven by a passion for people and the planet. In her current role, she exposes market trends and provides thought leadership for the North American recycled plastics industry. Prior to joining ICIS, Friedman was a corrosion expert and reliability engineer at ExxonMobil, working in both refining and petrochemical operations.

Andrew Brown, Head of Plastics and Recycling, Wood Mackenzie

Andrew Brown joined Wood Mackenzie in 2018 and currently leads the company’s plastics and recycling team. In this role, he is responsible for integrating Wood Mackenzie’s sustainability and recycling views across chemical value chains. He leads coverage for the company's films and flexible packaging services, recycled PET products and the material applications platform, which is a proprietary polymer demand model forecasting sectoral consumption across key end-use markets. Brown also plays a key role in developing scenarios for Wood Mackenzie’s alternative energy transition (AET) outlooks, noting how plastics are likely to be affected by more aggressive energy transition pathways.

Chaz Miller, CEO, Miller Recycling Associates
Chaz Miller has worked in recycling and waste at the U.S. EPA, the Glass Packaging Institute and the National Waste and Recycling Association. He is also an ex officio board member of the Northeast Recycling Council (NERC). Happily “semi-retired,” he writes a blog for Waste360, speaks at conferences, and as chair of the NERC Recycling Markets Committee, prepares a monthly analysis of curbside recycling markets. Miller chaired the Montgomery County Aiming for Zero Waste Task Force and he is a recipient of the National Recycling Coalition’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
